Couture watching

This week is Couture week in Paris and we found out where all the shows were going to be. We have an awesome teacher for our trend forecasting class and he let us stalk outside the Dior show Monday to try and catch a glimps of some high profile people and we did! Hamish Bowles who is the European Editor at Large for American Vogue, Carine Roitfeld who is the previous Editor for French Vogue. She voluntarily stepped down to pursue other options. Anna Della Russo who is the Vogue Japan editor and also a Blogger and recently famous in Italy. She has an entire apartment for her clothes collection and plans to donate it to a museum when she dies.  The one you will probably be most familiar with is Nina Garcia, a judge from project runway and Marie Claire fashion director. I didnt actually see her, somehow I completely missed her but the rest I did see. I have an amazing picture of Carine Roitfeld. I could have run my fingers through her hair, I was so close to her!  Last night we went to the Chanel show location and my main goal was to get photographed for someones blog and it worked! Maybe 5 minutes after we found a location that we thought was good a guy came up to me and asked if he could photograph me. Afterwards he gave me a card for the blog it was for. It's www.stockholm-streetstyle.com and after looking at their website tonight I am so flattered! There are a lot of people on there that I saw at dior and my outfit was much less expensive than theirs were! Not only did he ask me but about 5 other people did and the last person that asked me was in a very busy area with a lot of photographers and at one point I had maybe 6 cameras on me. It was so unexpected but such an amazing experience. I wish I knew who any of the other people were using the pictures for but no one else told me. Look for me on that website today though!!!
